Purnama Beach is formerly known as Batu 9 beach. This beach was developed under the 7 th Malaysia National Plan project and was completed fully at the end of year 2000.

FACILITIES

Facilities available here are camping ground, area for pedestrian and shelters. The camping ground is managed by private sector that has also provided:

1. Rental of space and tent
2. BBQ area
3. Shower rooms and toilets
4. Restaurant

LOCATION

Batu 9. Jalan Pantai. Visitors can reach here through the crossing to Ancasa All Suites Apartment.

Novo Park Hotel, Batu Pahat

Superior Room with 2 joint single bed at RM113 per night.

When I went to Batu Pahat during Chinese New Year, it's hard to find hotel. After two hours searching finally we found Novo Park Hotel with only few room left.

Located beside most controversial hotel Katerina Hotel (Chua Soi Lek hotel??!!) the room look very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. But, with the price at RM113 per night, the room is smaller than other hotel we went before, but overall we satisfy with our night stay. This also our first experience we stay at room with no windows...haha.

Ayer Hitam

Ayer Hitam, which literally means 'Black Water' in Malay, has always been referred to as 'the town that never sleeps', because of the busy town streets where the traffic is endless here, as people would stop here for a meal on their way to Johor Bahru an Kuala Lumpur. It will only take less than an hour to reach here if you travel by car from Johor Bahru.

There are many activities for visitors to participate in, some of them include horseback riding, fishing, and camping. Visitors can purchase anything ceramic here, as Ayer Hitam is famous for it. One can buy vases, flowerpots, porcelain, jars, photo frames, and ready-made customized souvenirs.

Not only can visitors browse through the quality souvenirs, visitors can also sample some local food. Among the famous food that is sure to satisfy your stomach are prawn crackers, tapioca chips, steamed corn and the must-have 'otak-otak'(steamed coconut-milk based fish cake). The food are freshly made and prepacked for visitors.
